Who will Form the Government in Assam?

The assembly election is scheduled within the next three months. Assam along with West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry is getting ready for the upcoming poll. BJP after losing the last election in Bihar hopes to form government in Assam. For this saffron party is heading ahead under the leadership of Sarbannda Sonowal in Assam. The party projecting Sonowal as the face of the party for the Assam assembly elections.

Identifying the corruption and development as the two major themes for election campaign in the state, BJP is getting ready to launch its campaign on January 19, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a youth rally in Guwahati.

On the other hand Congress seems to be very feeble after the dissidence. AIUDF expect to form ‘mahagathbandhan’ by forming an alliance with congress and AGP in order to stop BJP from coming to power in Assam. Whereas AGP is keeping silence.
