JMM leader Jidan Horo Shot Dead in Jharkhand by Unidentified Assailants

JMM leader Jidan Horo was shot dead by unidentified assailants near Pipal chowk under Khunti police station.

The victim was on the driver's seat of his car when two motorcycle-borne assailants fired at him and fled, according to Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta. Reason of killing is not ascertained as none was ready to speak out said Gupta.

Horo contested the last Assembly poll on JMM ticket against Neelkanth Singh Munda, who is Jharkhand Rural Development Minister, in the last Assembly poll from Khunti seat.

Moreover, protesting the killing of Jidan Horo, JMM Khunti district committee has called for bandh.
