ITBP Stopped Untoward Incident, Recovered 5kg IED in Chhattisgarh

Around 5kg of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) recovered from the jungles of Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday morning.

A squad of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force recovered the hidden IED from the Chheribera-Chapai area during an operational task.

Officials said that IED was kept hidden by Naxals near a road and could have targeted security forces had it been not detected. They also told that a squad of the forces' 46th battalion recovered the IED which also had a Belgian Malinois patrol task which is deployed for these tasks.
