7th RASCA Santhali Film Award Announced for May 5, 2016

7th RASCA Santhali film award to be organized on May 5, 2016 on occasion of 111th anniversary of Pandit Raghunath Murmu. Decision was taken in a meeting of Pandit Raghunath Murmu Academy of Santali Cinema and Art (RASCA) at Simdega on February 28.

Award ceremony will be organised on Birsa Munda town hall in Simdega in which 10 films will be screened made in Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. Jury will decide the film on the basis of its screening and awards in 18 category will be given at the end of the ceremony.

This time the artist from Bangladesh and Nepal will be presenting the cinema along with the artist of Santali cinema.

The meeting was chaired by Kushal Hansda. Moreover, Ratan Besra, Birdn Marandi , Shankar Hembram , Deepak Raj Murmu , Maneka Bala Hansda , Bhairon Tudu and Bapi Murmu were present at the occasion.
