Karam – the festival of mother nature is here!

Ranchi: There is a festive mood again all around the Chhotanagpur region as Karam celebration is in full swing at every nook and corner.

The atmosphere is vibrant everywhere with colours and music.

The Karam festival signifies an authentic tribal life which has a close link to nature and draws ones livelihood from Jungle, River & Zameen (natural water, forest and the land). This festival centers around worship of the nature (Karam God) and calls for protection of the environment. The legend of Karam also signifies that Mother Nature, if well taken care of and worshiped it can take away all human sufferings and will shower all her blessings and rich resources.
